The Department of Sanskrit was established very recently in 2010 to fulfill the academic interests of local students who aspire for bachelor Degree in Sanskrit. Many students who passed HS in Sanskrit from the school could not obtain the B.A Degree. It created an academic crisis of a section of students. To overcome the crisis, the Department of Sanskrit was started at this college. Regarding teaching and examination, the department has already introduced semester system from last year. The department has organized a number of seminars as well as special lectures by eminent scholars of various Universities. A departmental library is already started in the department, which can fulfill the student’s regular requirements. The department has also planned to introduce M.A in Sanskrit in near future.
