Department of Education

The department of Education began its journey in the year of 2009 with the introduction of B. A. General Course with an intake of 100 students only. Gradually the demand for the course increased and more students used to be admitted in the course. Keeping the demands of the students and college authority in mind the affiliated university i.e. Vidyasagar University made an inspection in the year 2011 and pleased to permit for running Honours course with an intake of 50 students. It is the oldest department of Education in Vidyasagar University. Presently the department has near about 600 General (pass) students and 65 Honours students. Experienced faculties are engaged themselves to facilitate students’ learning. The department also organizes different co-curricular activities viz. Freshers day, Farewell to outgoing students and educational tour. The department has a small book bank from where needy students borrow text books.
