After the publication of result of the Higher Secondary Examination the admission procedure starts. Admission is done solely on the basis of merit list. Reservations are available for the SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.
For admission in different courses offered by the college, on-line application forms will have to be filled up in a prescribed format ( Rs. 100 /- to be paid through online process for form only) available on the college website .The information regarding admission and its procedure is available on the college website.
The candidates must deposit their hard copy of the downloaded filled up form to the office along with the following documents at the time of admission:
i. Attested Copies of M.P. & H.S. Mark sheets & Admit Cards.
ii. Four Pass Port Size Photos.
iii. Character Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate.
iv. Attested Copies of SC/ST/ OBC/PH candidates.
Admission Procedure (merit list, dated of counseling, admission etc.) for Eligible candidates will be displayed on the College Website, in the Admission Notification Site.
Admission Guideline: Eligibility Criteria For Admission to U.G. Courses as per Vidyasagar University Rules
1 .Candidate passing Higher Secondary Examination conducted by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other equivalent board/council is eligible for admission in both in Honours and General courses. They are eligible for admission to the UG Courses within three (03) consecutive academic sessions from the year of passing the H.S./ equivalent exams, provided that they should include one language subject in the qualifying examination.
2. Candidates passing Higher Secondary examination from vocational streams conducted by West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education &Training or any other equivalent board/council are eligible for admission in General courses only. They are eligible for admission to the UG Courses within three (03) consecutive academic sessions from the year of passing the H.S./ equivalent exams, provided that they should include one language subject in the qualifying examination.
3. Admission is done on merit basis, and merit list in Honours courses is calculated by adding 10% of total marks obtained in the best five subjects excluding Environment studies at Higher Secondary /equivalent exams plus the marks obtained in the concerned Hons Subject which the student seeks to pursue.

Group D: Philosophy/Anthropology

Two General subjects (excluding the Honours Subject) taking at least one from any of the above mentioned groups.
